Sun Tea

Any sunny day brew a hearty bottle of sun tea for a refreshing drink. Fill mason jars or vintage glass milk bottles with fresh water, suspend 4 of your favorite standard tea bags in the water for each quart of tea. Cover and rest in the sun an hour to steep. Remove tea bags. Chill or serve over ice cubes before serving with simple syrup.

Tip: Make a quick batch of simple syrup by mixing equal parts sugar and water in a saucepan and bring to a simmer for several minutes to blend. Cool and store in your refrigerator until ready to use.
